Are antidiscrimination laws a form of discrimination? Go.
Oh, about another week or so. I thought it'd be fun to fill out the rest of the month with these quotes, it being July and all. Plus, now I have a ready list of cool quotes at my fingertips.
Yours is a very interesting topic. I think they can be. But I understand the premise behind them. Human nature is to discriminate, and these laws can try to prevent that. But the whole idea of quotas doesn't really settle well with me.
That is the topic that I chose for my research paper. Why? Because I like to torture myself. Seriously....could I have not tried to pick something a bit easier? But, now I am very well informed about how antidiscrimination laws have taken away our civil liberties and that it has gone so far to include everyone feeling the need to be politically correct for fear of offending ANYONE.
I agree that when they were initially put into place, there were good intentions. But the changes made since then and where it has gone is a bit much. It seems now you can offend anyone except the "special people" which pretty much means to go ahead and piss off white men.
That's you! So, maybe I should start picking up on that....
