Five intercepts, a fumble, personal fouls and lots of whining... Your team for the most part deserved what they got -- a thrashing.

I kindly refer you to my next post, George.

I guess Cameron with your coach setting the team slogan, kind of like the Boy Scouts, "quest for perfection" and the disastrous results in Utah's house, it reminds me of something Hugh Nibley said about BYU. I quote: "Thus our fame, (meaning BYU's), is spreading and we are in intimate danger of acquiring a reputation as an asylum for quacks." page 140 of the Collected Works of Hugh Nibley, Vol. 17.

Certainly Max Hall butting heads with a Utah man after throwing an intercept smacks of something less than perfection and he is supposed to be your team leader. Very childish behavior on his part and the other Cougars who were guilty of personal fouls and penalties. Stupid is as stupid does, so the saying goes. Your coach is into a bit of quackery it seems to me.

Run over to Desperate Book and get your latest copy of Nibley and you can read for yourself Cameron. He has other things to say about the great BYU and none of them flattering.

That's the whole "quest" part, George. It implies a future not yet achieved.

And your rant typifies the point of the post I referred you to. You got your win, little brother. But don't get too excited, cuz 1989 is destined to be repeated.
