Former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel on Governor Sarah Palin

Maurice Robert "Mike" Gravel (pronounced /grəˈvɛl/) (born May 13, 1930) is a former Democratic United States Senator from Alaska, who served two terms from 1969 to 1981, and a former candidate in the 2008 presidential election.

Senor, I'm not sure the Eagle Forum has the control everyone thinks they do.

Natalie, the interviewers' reaction is why this audio is so classic. They were obviously expecting a good, partisan, Palin bash-fest and they were so surprised and disappointed when Gravel actually stood up for comment sense.

I have a new respect for this former Senator.
