What Caused the Bank Failures?

Instead of thinking, "hmm, I wonder if it's a good idea to rely so much on sub-prime mortgages?", Fannie Mae executives were painstakingly planning and executing the hilarious practical joke of covering an entire car in Post-It notes.

Fannie and Freddie were only responsible for 1 in 25 subprime mortgage lends.

Where's your outrage over the private organizations who made up over 80% of the subprime lending shenanigans?

Let's be realistic, rather than desperately partisan, at least when discussing our economy.

well thats one too many now isn't it?

How bout I just send you my posts beforehand to get approved? Would that save you the trouble of wandering around every Utah blog telling people what to write?

Jason, democrat or not YOU should be upset with anyone who tries to hurt main street for their own pleasures.

Jamie, I don't even pretend to understand the relevance of your point.

And Cameron, you're being overly sensitive... in a whiny sort of way. If you would bother the check into the facts of a situation before writing about it (it's not hard... I just use the internet), I would have no complaints. You (and a few others) are notorious for misinformation though, and it's irritating, and works against the very nature of blogging for better political understanding. Finding, and commenting in a factual manor is not hard, it just requires placing integrity before cheap political points to justify pre-conceived notions. Some people also call it being an adult, but I'm not mean enough to make that assertion. Heh.

Pet peeve of mine, if you will, nothing more. Keep it honest, I'll keep from bitching.

Jason, It's crazy to me that even in this election people don't admit when there is corruptness and instead they point fingers to each other for the blame. Are you or are you not sticking up for Fannie and Freddie ? I am quite surprised someone could get so offended over a stick it note post.. It will be ok~

You're complaining about a post about a car covered in post-it notes!

LOL, those dang post it notes.

"it just requires placing integrity before cheap political points to justify pre-conceived notions."

This is ironic since it was the "pre-conceived notions" and "cheap political points" that allowed Fannie and Freddie to continue on their disastrous course. Democrats like you Jason would not allow anything negative said about their precious gov't program. And, true to form, they had the gall to say others were the ones being partisan.
