This Day In History
President Woodrow Wilson asked Congress to declare war against Germany, saying,
It's too bad Congress didn't tell Wilson to go pound salt. What a waste of lives for nothing that war was, and Wilson's call for war after running as a peace candidate is one of the many great betrayals of American political history.
