TDIH: Martin Luther King Jr Assasinated

April 4, 1968

King was cut down April 4 by a rifle slug that tore through his jaw and spine as he stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel. James Earl Ray, a petty criminal and prison escapee, pleaded guilty to the murder. He died in prison in 1998.

40 years huh? He was a great man that did a lot of great things. They took a whole week at school to tell the kids about him and his life. I think it's important to remember so we don't {as a society} make the same mistakes.
